March 2026| Release Notes | Nooga Risk
This month's release brings a more flexible end-to-end risk workflow, a major new integration with Nooga Scale and the ROAM-board, and a range of usability improvements.
We're excited to share what's new in Nooga Risk this month. Here's what we've been working on to improve your experience.
What's New
-
Streamlined Risk Creation & Assessment: You can now create a risk and assess it in a single flow; choose to save after writing the description, link it to one or more work items, or go all the way and complete one or several risk assessments in one go. This makes the risk process more flexible and reduces the steps needed to get a risk fully documented.
-
Integrated Risk into Scale (IRIS - MVP version): Scale customers can now work with enhanced risk management directly in a ROAM setting during PI Planning. The ROAM board in Scale has been updated with Nooga Risk as an add-on, adding drag-and-drop categorisation, risk assessment, linking to work items such as Epics, Features and PI objectives, and the ability to accept and resolve risks on the spot. A visual risk matrix for the ART and PI is also available, giving teams an up-to-date view for ongoing ART syncs and the ability to track the status of critical risks. Mitigated risks gain enhanced traceability by assigning users to risk treatments and monitoring progress.
Improvements
-
Persistent Matrix Filters: Filter settings in the risk matrix are now saved per user, so your view is restored next time you return. The default time period is also set to the last 12 months.
-
More Flexible Risk Assessments: Assessments are now easier to work with — you can assign an owner without a score, and the tool will nudge you toward completing assessments that are only partially filled in.
-
Removed State for Risks: A new "Removed" state is available for both risk descriptions and assessments. Removed risks are filtered out of the matrix and registers by default but remain accessible for traceability purposes.
-
Risk Hub Opens to Matrix: Entering the Nooga Risk hub now lands you on the risk matrix rather than the register, giving you a faster visual overview of your risk landscape.
-
Optional Comment When Accepting a Risk: You can now add a comment when accepting a risk, improving documentation and traceability of risk decisions.
-
Improved Data Loading: Performance improvements across risk UIs result in faster and more reliable data loading.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue with extra horizontal scrollbars appearing in configuration steps
- Fixed incorrect ordering of scores when assessing risks
- User licenses can now be looked up by email address when assigning
